Exclusive to hampers.com this Prosecco Rosé is elegant, light and fresh with notes of creamy strawberry, raspberry and red fruit. It has a delicate mousse that tingles pleasingly on the palate. It's incredibly versatile and could be paired with a selection of seafood, charcuterie, or would make the perfect apéritif.
Prosecco Rosé is very new in the wine world. Although there have always been sparkling Italian Rosé wines, these could not be called Prosecco. Prosecco gets its name from the small region in Italy where the wine itself is produced. The strict regulations in that area meant that Prosecco could only be made from a selection of white grapes including Glera, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco.
Very recently this blend of grapes was now allowed to include up to 15% of the red grape Pinot Noir, meaning Rosé could now be produced. We're very pleased to include this Prosecco Rosé in our range.
