hampers.com works hard to provide you with the best delivery options and experiences.
We select our delivery partners with care, and deliver to as many countries around the world as practically possible. We are always monitoring the results of our delivery partners, because it's important that your gifts arrive on time, and in the same condition that they left us in.
Our carbon neutral status includes all deliveries, so rest assured that we offset the carbon footprint of every gift we deliver - no matter how far it's travelling. Your recipient's hamper will arrive in a recyclable outer box, and if you have chosen heat sensitive items (like cheese or cream), we will pack these with reusable and recyclable cool packs.
Our delivery services
We like to make your life as simple as possible, so we offer free standard delivery to all postcodes in the United Kingdom, as well as Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland.
Upgraded premium delivery is also available, because we know that sometimes life gets hectic and you may end up leaving the gift buying until the very last minute. With upgraded premium delivery you can arrange for fast, next working day delivery or select a chosen delivery date as far as three months in advance. For mainland UK, we also offer a Saturday and Sunday delivery, ideal for those not about during the week.
Once your order has been delivered, because we know you’ll want to know it’s arrived safe and sound, we’ll send you an email confirmation.
Europe and international
A large selection of our luxury food and drink hampers can also be delivered around Europe and worldwide.
Please note that country eligibility applies and there will be additional shipping charges - all of which can be found on the product pages for each gift. The prices shown in the product delivery details tab are additional to the cost of the hamper and inclusive of VAT - we pride ourselves on being as transparent as possible. All you have to do is select the delivery country at checkout, and rest assured that you can change this right up until the order has been placed.
Below you can find more information on EU Tiers and International delivery.
Deliveries are made by our trusted carriers depending on the destination and the size and weight of the product, because our gifts come in all shapes and sizes! Our couriers include DHL, DPD, Evri and UK Mail.
Deliveries are normally made Monday to Saturday, excluding national and bank holidays.
During the checkout process, you can choose free delivery, Christmas delivery (October to December) or pay for upgraded premium delivery services. The free delivery services do not offer a specific day for delivery, but they will be despatched on a next day delivery service. And for free Christmas delivery, we secure your hamper and delivery slot for pre-Christmas delivery (again a specific date cannot be given).
Delivery will be prepared and despatched from hampers.com headquarters in Oxfordshire to reach the recipient on the day requested. Occasionally, the delivery may be made on the day before or the day after and, whilst we do everything we can to prevent this, conditions outside of our control could result in the delivery date may be missed.
We are proud to say that we have a very high success rate in achieving delivery on customer's preferred dates. If your item must arrive by a specific date, we would suggest you order and select a date the day before, in order to allow for any delays that may occur or the recipient not being home when the delivery is attempted. Because we know you can’t always check with them if you’re trying to coordinate a surprise!
Saturday delivery is also available for a discounted rate, with the cost is shown during the checkout process for complete transparency. We have absolutely nothing to hide and will never try to sneak in additional fees! The Saturday delivery option must be selected for it to be sent on this service and this is limited to UK mainland residential addresses only. This is not a guaranteed delivery day service and excludes business, school and hospital addresses, but we can of course deliver to these addresses on weekdays!
We’re sorry to say that, due to their location, the following postcodes are not available for the premium upgraded delivery service: KA27–KA28, KW1-KW17, PA20-PA49, PA60-PA80, PH19-PH26, PH30-PH44, PH49-PH50, ZE1-ZE99, IM1-IM99, PO30-PO41, TR21-TR25, IV63, IV36-IV56, IV1-IV32, HS1-HS99, AB1-AB56, GY, JE, BT1-BT99.
UK and worldwide delivieries
We’ve been delivering food and drink hampers all over the world for more than 40 years, so let us take care of your international delivery.
Unfortunately we are not currently able to deliver to the following countries: Germany, Greece, Spain, Macedonia, Mexico, Russia, India, Ukraine, Khazakhstan, Falkland Islands, Nepal, Cook Islands, China, and the UAE.
Customs clearance and paperwork
Many of our hampers are despatched in the delivery country through our international agents, however some products are fulfilled from our UK distribution centres and if delivered outside EU Europe are subject to clearance through local Customs. Although this does not normally cause delays, the timing of Customs clearance is outside of our control or our international courier DHL International. Under worldwide shipping conventions, paperwork including a proforma invoice (with a minimal value and stating that the parcel is a gift) has to be attached to the parcel.
Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange delivery to PO Box or BFPO addresses or similar.
hampers.com's classification of delivery regions
Many countries have import restrictions and we have defined the delivery regions around Customs restrictions and our carriers’ tariff regions. Please note the classification below of these countries for the delivery region is therefore, not necessarily the same as the political status.
England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
EU EUROPE TIER 1
Belgium, Channel Islands, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg and Netherlands.
NON EU EUROPE (includes extended areas, not in Europe)
Albania, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Canary Island, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Greenland, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine
Non-European countries that lie within continental Europe fall under different delivery regulations than countries within the EU. Be sure to check out our hand picked non-EU delivery collection of hampers.
You are able to send hampers and gifts from the UK into the United States, however there are certain rules we need to adhere to for customs regulations for US-bound parcels, this means it can sometimes take longer for gifts sent into the USA to arrive. See the full range of hampers that can be delivered to the US here.
Friends and family down under no longer need to miss out on gifts from overseas. With hampers.com, you can send food and drink hampers to Australia. See our full Australian collection of hampers and handpicked gifts for free delivery down under.
Delivery to New Zealand is similar to Australia, with a range of luxury hampers and gifts available for delivery to both Islands, with free & fast delivery on most New Zealand-delivered hampers. Our New Zealand-specific hampers are dispatched from within NZ from our trusted partners.
We know that it can be tricky to find out if someone is going to be home on a certain date without giving away the surprise, so there may be occasions when the lucky recipient is not at home when our courier partners attempt delivery.
In this instance, the drivers have been instructed to attempt to deliver the gift to a neighbour or leave it in a safe place, where it is appropriate and safe to do so. If not, then the gift will be taken to the nearest local depot. Whatever happens, they will receive a card through the door to let them know they missed a parcel and tell them where it is.
Second and third delivery attempts will be made. If these are still unsuccessful then a card will be posted with complete details on how to go about collecting their parcel. So, rest assured they will get their gift one way or another!
During the checkout stage when inputting delivery information, you can leave the recipient’s mobile number so that they can receive text updates about when they’re due to receive a parcel and when - this will help to increase your chances of them being at home when it’s due to be delivered to help prevent multiple missed delivery attempts. But if a surprise is what you’re after, best to put in your mobile number instead.
Delivery to hospitals, universities and business & work addresses
If you’re looking to treat someone and have a gift delivered to either a hospital, university, college, military base, work address and so on, we ask you to be mindful that the driver is only required to deliver to the address on the label - not directly into the hands of the recipient wherever they may be within the building. For that reason, we cannot be held responsible for any delays that occur from here.
Sending a gift to someone in the hospital to help cheer them up? Be sure to include the ward name/number or department, as these details will make it easier for your treat to be delivered internally to where it needs to be. Sadly, we cannot deliver to hospitals on Saturdays.
It is worth checking, before you place an order to be delivered to a hospital, that the hospital will allow deliveries of food and drink items to the relevant ward, as well as ensuring all delivery details are correct. It would be such a shame for your gift to be delayed at the last hurdle due to unavoidable hospital policy.
For those lucky individuals you’re trying to treat who may live in a block of flats, the courier will require postal access to attempt delivery or for a card to be left.
Unfortunately, deliveries to PO Boxes and BFPO addresses, or similar, are unable to be made.
To help with delivery, if you’re able to provide the mobile number of the person the hamper is being delivered to, this would really help - especially with enabling delivery notifications and addressing any delivery issues that may arise. Sometimes delivery drivers can get lost, especially in the case of new build areas and remote locations where the postcode may not lead them to the right spot for the delivery premises. It happens.
We truly believe that the success rate of a first-time delivery is greatly increased when the delivery driver has a number he can call as and when he needs to; and this is only usually ever at the last minute, so wouldn’t necessarily spoil the surprise.
If you ordered through your account, or add a password at the checkout when ordering online, you will have the ability to track your order online (yay, we know sometimes this is a fun thing to do and vital for if you’re unsure where a delivery may be or they weren’t in when delivery was attempted).
If you used the guest checkout facility and did not enter a password at the end of the checkout process, you will still receive delivery tracking emails with the details of where and when your hamper will be delivered. If you do not receive these emails or delivery is late, why not reach out to the customer care team who will be able to help you locate your order.
